Happy Easter! He is Risen!
I have these cute little chickie pin cushions helping me today. These were created using vintage flower sack fabrics. I purchased them at my local quilt shop, Quilted Creations in Headland, AL.
I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter.

Sharing Class Photos
Today I want to share some photos of the "Sewing Machine" mats made by some of the students from my recent class held at quiltingbythebay.com. What a fun project, and everyone had lots of fun sewing!
The top photo is a completed project, made using batik fabrics.
The other two photos are works in progress. Don't you just love the color choices? Great job ladies. Thank you for coming to this class.

Quilting by the Bay
Quilting by the Bay Quilt Shop located in Panama City, Florida; has asked me to come and teach a class! The class will be held in their newly renovated classroom that has seating for up to 28 students. The classroom has ironing stations, great lighting, and a kitchen area for lunch. I am looking forward to meeting new friends and having a fun time sewing. It will be fun to see the different fabrics the students have selected to make their sewing machine mats. See you there tomorrow!

#Jen Kingwell Quilt Along
When I saw this quilt on the cover of Jen Kingwell's book, Quilt Lovely, I knew immediately that I liked the design. There is just something about that scrappy look with all those yellow and orange fabrics mixed in. I knew the blocks (flowers) were hand pieced, but I was up for the challenge. Today I am auditioning fabrics for the center circles to be the flower centers.
